Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Lexington is still standing

Here is some video from around the city last night. I avoided the State Street area, partly because I already had footage of riots, and also because I just wanted something new.

I have to say, the police presence was felt everywhere and of the thousands and thousands of people flooding the streets around campus, I only witnessed two people who needed to be dealt with. All around, I think Lexington did a much better job handling themselves tonight than they did on Saturday. However, I still heard State Street was pretty out of control.

Anyway, here is some video heading into the crowd at Champions Corner on Woodland & Euclid:

More footage from the corner of Woodland & Euclid:

After at least an hour, I walked back the few blocks to S. Limestone near Two Keys and Tin Roof:

To answer your question #1, I think T Jones comes back. Just a gut feeling. Lamb I think is gone after that performance. AD, MKG, Teague are all gone obviously, and rightfully so. Its their time. They brought #8 back home now its time for them to fulfill their dreams.

Apparently everyone on the radio in Nashville thinks we set the town on fire, and had a demolition derby in the streets.

You are delusional if you think Jones is coming back. Teague possibly, but doubtful. We’ll keep Wiltjer. Anyone else that stays will be a pleasant surprise.

Hey fellas. Gene Wojo at ESPN took a little time off from kissing Coach K’s ass to write a brilliantly awful article. worth a read. http://espn.go.com/ncb/conversations/_/id/7769299/college-basketball-college-basketball-match-kentucky-wildcats-level-excellence

Too early to start printing “Eight Ain’t Enough” shirts?

    3) I actually got a feeling Jones could come back. He just seemed to enjoy it. Anyone coming back except for Davis wouldn’t shock me, but I’ll expect them all to go (except Wiltjer) and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

Leave it to ESPN to attempt to overshadow our title with the negativity from the dude getting shot. People get shot all the time, where are the ESPN stories on those? I’m sure it probably had nothing to do with the game.

    10. ME TOO! Few players have represented the Blue and White with as much class as Darius.

That being said 1-6 doesn’t come back. I’m not going to kid myself, plus their draft stock is through the roof right now after winning a national championship.

So what about the dude that got shot, what’s the story with that?

9, I have wasted time reading these negative columns and wish I hadn’t. I can’t help but think that if Jim Boeheim recruited four one-and-dones, these blowhard writers would think he was brilliant, and spin it in a way that made it sound like the smartest recruiting move ever. But, since it’s Cal and Ky, it’s got to be bad.
