“Let’s Play Two”

After the first game of their series against #1 ranked Vanderbilt was washed out by the rain, the Kentucky baseball team will play the Commodores in a doubleheader at Cliff Hagan Stadium today starting at 2PM. Game Two of the series is scheduled for 7PM tonight and will be broadcast on CSS and ESPN3.com.

The ‘Cats will be looking to right the ship in a major way by taking a series from the top team in the conference, and the top-ranked team in the country. Vanderbilt comes into the series at 42-6 overall, with a 21-2 record in the SEC, a full 3 games over 2nd-place LSU. The Wildcats have struggled as of late but will look to claim their first series win at home since Georgia came to Lexington on March 29-31.

well better play better in the last 2 games then. We got killed 11-3 in game 1 today. Reed was horrible on mound and at plate. Gave up 10 earned runs and went 0-5 at plate.

Reed had a frustrating day, but many times he has been clutch while others slumped. That’s baseball sometimes and that’s why it is a team sport. It would be great if BBN would give them some support. There were almost as many Vandy fans as UK fans at the games. Hearing their cheers and chants take over our stadium is sad.
