After being drafted by the Detroit Lions, Larry Warford is becoming more accustomed to the NFL lifestyle. As is customary with first year players, Warford attended both the Lions’ rookie and team-wide minicamps in addition to other organized team activities. While that would be enough for most players, Warford also led Detroit’s “Lineman Academy” with fellow draftee, Ziggy Ansah. After coaching some of Detroit’s future lineman prospects, he spoke with local media and said the following. “It’s always great to establish the fundamentals of football at an early age as early as possible. So that just becomes a habit for them because it’s something they’re going to be doing for the rest of their football careers.” Warford even took to Twitter after the event and got nostalgic.
Had a great time at the youth football camp today…helped me remind myself that this is the same game i played when i was a kid #havefun
