La’Rod King named “Other Outstanding Performance” by the SEC

La’Rod King’s career at Kentucky came to an end with a loss in Neyland Stadium on Saturday, but the Wildcat from Radcliff had a pretty solid outing in his farewell game.  King caught a game-high 10 passes against the Vols, which landed him in the “Other Outstanding Performances” category of the weekly SEC football awards.

King finished his UK career as one of five receivers in school history to catch at least 134 balls for 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns.  He passed Randall Cobb for sixth all-time in receiving yards on Saturday.

I hope La’Rod gets a opportunity to play in the NFL, I would think it will be through free agency, but I think with the success of other UK receivers in the Pro’s he will get a chance. Good Luck and thanks for representing the BBN.

I hope he gets his degree because his playing days are over. The kid had more drops than a thunderstorm.

I Love LaRod, hope he has success in life. He made a lot of great catches over the years. Really loved his games against Georgia. He wasn’t so good in coverage on the defensive side of the ball this year.
