Lafayette Sends Lexington Catholic Home Early

There was an eye-opener in the 43rd District Tournament tonight as (17) Lafayette pulled the shocking 62-56 upset over (5) Lexington Catholic.

Catholic was picked by many to win the 11th Region, but their season will end in the districts with a 20-5 record. They had earned 11 consecutive wins heading into tonight’s game, including victories over Scott County and George Rogers Clark.

Congratulations to Lafayette and head coach Greg Coldiron as they advance to play the winner of Tates Creek and Paul Laurence Dunbar for the district title.
