Kyle Wiltjer fights mononucleosis and wins, Anthony Davis up next

As a part of the series profiling Kentucky’s incoming freshmen basketball players, Eric Lindsey dropped the second part of the Kyle Wiltjer profile, which is basically just some notes that didn’t find a natural fit in the story.  In today’s post, Lindsey asks Wiltjer about Anthony Davis’ revelation that his team wins all pickup games they they play.  Wiltjer had a simple response.  He hasn’t been playing lately.  Wiltjer said he’s been battling mono, which he contracted three weeks after being on campus (no comment).  He’s successfully won the fight and says he’s lost no weight or strength.  Now he’s ready to take four guys and go after Davis.  I really hope I’m one of them.

More Wiltjer notes!

Seems like a lot of basketball players get mono for some reason.
