KSR/Leach Report Keeneland Handicapping Challenge (College Day Edition)

It’s College Day at Keeneland!  As one of Keeneland’s most popular promotions, College Scholarship Day is an opportunity for college students to enjoy a day at the races and possibly walk away with a college scholarship or other great prizes.  Keeneland and the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association will give away ten $1,000 scholarships to full-time students.

Registration will take place in the North Terrace.

College Scholarship Day Facts:

– Free general admission with college ID at East Gate.
– Registration begins at 11 a.m. in the College Zone.
– The first 1,000 students to register will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Kennedy Book Store and a free hat courtesy of Vineyard Vines.
– Free snacks, courtesy of Qdoba, Raising Cane’s & Coke.
– Photos with LexScene to be featured in the magazine & online.
– Win great prizes throughout the day.
– Live music.


Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio and Tom Leach of The Leach Report are going head-to-head in a handicapping contest on Each Thursday during the fall meet, Matt and Tom will pick two horses from any race to see who knows the most — or who is the luckiest — when it comes to betting at the track. Keeneland will donate $500 to the contest winner’s charity when it’s all over with.
