How about middle school football from Pulaski County? Northern Pulaski won the 2011 D-1 8th grade State Title (back-to-back), Southern Pulaski won the 2011 7th grade State Title (back-to-back), & Meece (Somerset) won the 2011 D-3 8th grade State Title. That’s 5 state championships in the last 2 years for this town.

Here is the issue I have with the entire UNC scandal- Beside the academic fraud and cheating and whatnot… where is the outcry from the African American community toward UNC for belittling the African and African-American courses? Why that course of study to play the pasty role in all this?

UNC patronized and bastardized the African-Afro American courses AND its students right tot their faces. Yet, not a word about that.

I think it’s great to have so many RBs that could see playing time, but it does concern me that there isn’t 2 or 3 that are at the top. Wouldn’t it help the O Line to play with a normal rotation and get used to their running style?

They have had their shots and they just don’t stand out. I think our two freshmen getting first-team reps is a good thing and indicates they show the coaches that they are just better than what we have had. From his high school highlights, I can just sense that Mobley is a natural and has a shot at being one of UK’s all-time great runners. What irritates me about Doug’s comment is that he has zero stats to back it up. We beat UNC earlier in season,(granted it was early in the season.) We also had the best player in the country. On top of the fact that we were the number one overall seed, with the number 1 & 2 pick in the NBA draft. It’s hard to predict much next year. Who knows how these guys will play together? I believe in these guys talent is superior to SEC competition, and Cal’s player development and team chemistry building skills are second to none. However I don’t pretend that I can accurately predict what this team will look like at any point in the season. Missouri, who also have a lot of new parts is even more difficult to predict. I think no matter what happens, they do not lose to Mizzou at home for college gameday.

121 — Really agree about Harrow. Cal is looking at him to be his floor general, his coach on the floor, and a team leader. Cal’s comments are obviously motivational. Do you really think he’s publicly putting the kid down if he’s not good enough to start? That’s what coaches do with kids they think very highly of and who they want setting the tone for the team in practices and in games. Harrow is a big-time player and there is no way he is sitting the bench as a 21-year-old on a team filled with youngsters.

The 2010-2011 team lost nearly every conference road game they played, yet they still went undeated at home, won the SEC Tourney, and beat the two best teams in the tournament on the way to the Final 4. I think that’s an extremely lofty goal for next year’s squad.

That doesn’t mean I think they don’t have the talent to win it all or continue the win streak at Rupp. They are impossible to figure out at this point because we’ve never seen most of them play at this level. We don’t know how most of the new guys will acclimate to the non-stop limelight and constant pressure that is UK basketball.

I don’t think the SEC as a whole will be more difficult. Mizzou lost a lot from last year’s squad, a better Mizzou team folded under the pressure of the NCAA tourney. UT didn’t make a huge leap in their talent level. Florida will be good, but they lost most of their best players too. Miss St. will be down with a new coach and mostly new players. Vandy will be a joke. Arkansas is still trying to build their program. Don’t see anyone else being much of a force.
