A story that is not getting a whole lot of headlines right now is the lawsuit in LA between Todd McNair and the NCAA. The LA judge ruled that the emails from the investigation be unsealed. Basically there are 2 branches of the NCAA – the investigators and the sanction committee. During an investigation they cannot communicate. There are numerous emails that prove otherwise and if USC’s AD chooses to pursue this they could get their Crystal Ball back, wins back and be the first step in dethroning the NCAA
If Nerlens can’t go number one (he should though), hopefully he goes 3 to team up with John Wall, or 4 to team up with MKG. That would be so fun to watch.

My worry with Poythress isn’t work ethic, it’s in-game reaction when he gets a shot blocked or misses a bunny. It’s easy not to get down on yourself in a pickup game, less so on the big stage. Alex worked hard UNTIL something went wrong, then he got all mopey.

Last week someone called and said that the makers of college basketball video games had to be happy for this coming year. Well, they could be happy but it won’t be for some college basketball video games because there aren’t any. The last one was made back in 2010. All of the games were canceled either back in 2009 or in 2010. I remember that specifically because I went to look for a game with John Wall and Cousins and found out that there weren’t any. The timing of it was suspect because it’s right about the same time as the O’Bannon lawsuit that’s going on right now. It was filed back during the summer of 09 and the likenesses in video games is a major point of it.
It’s one of those things that I heard on podcasts and I don’t think anyone else caught after the caller said it.

Rest area update. On the way to Florida we stopped at the rocket rest stop in Alabama so the kids could use the bathroom. Took the boys in and I would guess that the bathroom on the actual rocket was cleaner than this filth ridden place. The boys could care less and took care of business.
