How awful would it be if the Louisville tickets make it to the last stop in Louisville, and a Louisville fan wins them? I’m calling it now…John Short wins the Louisville tickets tomorrow!

Before anyone gets stirred up about the snub from Kentucky’s Senators, there are a few facts that should be brought to light. I worked on the Hill, and for Senator Paul for a bit. Last year, his office received only 2 tickets for the UK White House visit. Rand doesn’t care about either team and just gave the tickets to UK fans in his office. This year he presumably either got more tickets, or used it as an opportunity to speak to POTUS.

Everyone knows McConnell is a UL guy. No surprise there.

Texas A&M at Commonwealth in 2015 is not a slam dunk. They are “next” in the rotation of West teams (besides Miss St), so they should be next in theory, BUT they are “next” in the rotation for all East schools (lest Florida who they played in 2012 and Vandy who they play this season)

All East schools have yet to play A&M, all East schools could claim to play A&M in 2015. As far as I know, there has been no statement from SEC about schedules beyond 2013.

Last year UK/UL had this “Billboard” war, how mad would UL fans be if we made a billboard and along the bottom was the 8 National Championship Flags and above it was Coach Cal with his arms spread out like the Davis poster? The thing is the 5-2 is very complex, Stoops defense is very simple and based on discipline. I think you’ll seea vast improvement this year

We need to have a show — before the football season begins — in which we listen to Ryan’s greatest lines on the show. We could listen to the lines and then discuss them. I’m sure such a show would be hilarious.

It’s kind of ridiculous this is an issue. McConnell gives money to UK every year, even though he hates them. I bet if it were a Republican in the White House, Matt would criticize the Senators for hanging out at the White House instead of working. Or maybe not since he is a liberal, and work is an afterthought.

I am a conservative and will give Grimes every opportunity to get my vote. I can’t stand McConnell and his refusal to legislate. How stupid do you have to be to run out a possible candidate you would absolutely smoke in Ashley Judd to leave the door open for an opponent that could give you trouble?

Here’s a name that’s important to our football recruiting: Lloyd Tubman. Tubman is a 6-5, 235-pound defensive end out of Seneca High School and is ranked among the very best defensive ends in America. He has committed to Vandy, but Kentucky is making a strong push to get him to change his mind. Would be great to get this kid.

123- you are right, stoops almost plays a zone in the secondary that keeps wr covered long enough for the front 4 to make a play…may bring an extra lb occasionally to on delay..but the strength of his defense is secondary.

Just curious I haven’t heard much about it, but any idea on how the ticket sales are going for the season opener against Western as far as how many UK fans will be there? I just think it would be awesome and set a tone early if we pack the stadium full of Blue and get behind this football team like we do at neutral sites for basketball games. It would be nice to hear the “Go Big Blue” chant roaring through the crowd right before the team takes the field.

I understand that McConnel has a lot of power in DC and has the ability to bring $$$ back to Kentucky, but 30 years in office is WAY too long. Politicians are like diapers – after they have been in use for a while, they become full of $h!t and need to be changed. Also, McConnel lost my vote years ago when he voted down campaign finance reform because he claimed it “limited his right to free speech”. Sorry, the real issue is that it limited his ability to remain in office and line his pockets. And before you label me as a “liberal”, I am a registered Independent and never vote along party lines.

The difference between Western and UK is that for Western the Coach will want the win the most and for UK the Players will want the win the most.

Since the players are the ones on the field, I’d give the edge to UK
