KSR Preps Game of the Week

Ashland Blazer 55 Boyd County 7

Boyd County was over matched in this one as Ashland has found its groove offensively, the Tomcats gained 589 yards of total offense in a blowout. Austin Tackett, Noah Roberts, Aroc Colburn, Braxton Ratliff, and Will Adkins all rushed for touchdowns for Ashland.

Ratliff played well under center for the Tomcats rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for two more, the senior completed 10 of his 11 passes for 163 yards. His athleticism along with Roberts running ability was too much for the depleted Lions to handle.

Boyd County got on the scoreboard on a 67 yard run by their quarterback Will Adkins but the Ashland defense continued its dominance as it has only allowed two touchdowns in its last 16 quarters. Adkins accounted for all but 10 of the Lions 153 total yards.

Ashland is playing well at the right time as they approach the heart of their district schedule with a showdown against Johnson Central looming in 3 weeks.
