BS! It does NOT lose its buzz. It’s still huge in KY and it is NOT huge anywhere other than KY. And it doesn’t matter when it is played!

Matt, Chip Cosby brought up an interesting theory on the NBA through his Twitter account. He states that the reason many people prefer College BBall to the NBA is not because of style of play but rather the ‘socioeconomic’ differences most fans have between themselves and the stars of the NBA. Interesting point…thoughts?

  22. Matt
    10:20 am June 3, 2011 Permalink

If UK wants some real national attention playing Louisville first game doesn’t do it. Beating UF, LSU, or finally beating UT will get them the attention they need. If this team is ever going to make its move from the middle of the bottom of the SEC and get some recognition those are the games they need to play well in to get it. That happens then the national media won’t need to wait until we are the only game on Labor Day weekend to pay attention.

Even LSU and Tulane ( similar in meaning for fans in the state) don’t play every year.

    10:25 am June 3, 2011 Permalink

What advertiser would want to sponsor a UK/UL football game? Most of the time UK football is televised (even regionally) is because of the opponent. UL does not cut it. Get real and move on.

Robert Horry, who played for Alabama, has to rival Shaq for his impact on championship teams. Shaq doesn’t get ring #1 without Big Shot Bob, and Horry already had 2 rings with the Rockets. He got another 2 (or 3?) with Lakers, then went and got a couple with the Spurs. As the cagey veteran, he got clutch rebounds, dunks, deep threes, and was a physical enforcer (think Steve Nash). Shaq correctly self-described himself M.D.E. – Most Dominant Ever, so noone can out-dominate him. Maybe Horry is MCE, Most Clutch Ever.

Saved by the Bell is an American television sitcom that aired between 1989 and 1993. The series is a retooled version of the 1988 series Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which was itself later folded into the history of Saved by the Bell. The series followed the exploits of several students along with their principal at Bayside High School.
