Knight and Jones pick up CBS honors
It’s like Christmas for Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones today, but instead of getting another magic kit from their grandmother, it’s nothing but praise from the nation’s college basketball and coaches. The latest accolades come courtesy of CBS Sports, who pick UK’s freshmen duo to their Freshman All-American squad. Jones and Knight are joined by Jared Sullinger, Harrison Barnes and Tristan Thompson. They did not factor into any of the three All-American squads, which included Morehead’s Kenneth Faried.

I would take that squad against any team in America, seniors, juniors, or sophmores. That team is loaded. I think the Thompson kid is a baller. Very athletic.

For all of you d-bag Jones haters, TJ tweeted that he would have preferred that the SEC name Jones and Knight as co-freshmen of the year. He is a good teammate and a good kid. If he sticks around another year, y’all haters will LOVE TJ.
Calipari said he hopes Associated Press media vote gives SEC Freshman of the Year to Brandon Knight so he and Jones each get one.
Cal also said they flipped a coin and nominated TJ for FOY and BK for POY; it had to be one or the other….
