Mike, answer this 1 question, please?

15 players, sorry, student athletes, are currently being investigated in this case, right? 12 of those are current Miami FB players, 1 is a Miami BB player. Those are facts, right? So, who do you think are the other 2 players being investigated?

Is it beyond the realm of plausibility to think that Teddy B, who’d committed to Miami at one time then witched to UL, could be one of those players?

    Thanks.

Rutherford’s next job will be defined Gadhafi in his war crimes trial. “Listen, killing millions of Libyans is just not that big of a deal. There is a reason they aren’t talking about this in Hazard.”

Protip: No one cares about this Louisville maybe-they-have-a-cheater-who-knows argument. Or football in general. Just look at the lack of comments.

Let’s talk basketball! We’re only 2 and a half months from KU in NYC!

  33. Wayne Rooney

When UofL was in C-USA, they could take Florida kids that couldn’t get in SEC & ACC. That was their angle. Since, Louisville never got 4 or 5-Stars Florida recruits. Yes they still got Florida talent, but it was the talent like we get from Georgia, though, i.e. under the radar kids.

  34. Kyle

Why does he keep saying “In the grand scheme of things…”?

  41. Hoss
    10:45 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

SO, Randy Shannon recruited Teddy B to Miami, but it was Hurtt recruited TB to UL?

    that’s brilliant logic.

  42. Paul
    10:46 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

Remember – Damarcus Smith was a cardinal commit when Bridgewater comitted. So it wasn’t an opportunity where he could walk into a starting job.

2nd – Damarcus Smith went to UCF because he felt he was overrecruited by Bridgewater.

  43. iShawnUK

Can we please get to King Rex now? Anyone? Please

  44. Blue in Arkansas
    10:47 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

Someone tell Rutherford that Bridgewater also had offers from LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and West Virginia. per Scout. Yet Bridgewater picks U of L….doesn’t pass the smell test

  45. Wayne Rooney
    10:48 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

I think the bigger question to Mike is the Derrick Rose “strict liability” premise: Even if there is no knowledge regarding Bridgewater or the other kids from Miami on Florida, Louisville & Alabama’s rosters, can you play them until the investigation is over? Under the Derrick Rose scenario, if you play them & more info comes out you’d have to forfeit any wins for playing an ineligible player, even if the schools had no knowledge.

  46. MattP
    10:48 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

Talk about something else. I’ve heard enough about Clint Hurtt, his fat belly, and who he may or may not have cheated to get up to Louisville. Talk CATS.

  49. Brew Crew

  50. Paul
    10:51 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

But additionally, Charlie Strong is welcome in every Florida High School, and high school coaches respect him and will steer recruits his way. Think of the documentary “The U” when they talked about how Schnellenberger was welcome in the bad areas, but you would never see Holtz or Paterno down there.

  56. UKGirl
    10:57 am August 26, 2011 Permalink

Is it possible Clint Hurtt came to Louisville because he knew he was about to get caught at Miami? Maybe steered a few Florida HS players to Louisville because he knew Miami was about to be put on probation?
