Kentucky/Baylor part of the new Big 12/SEC Challenge

If you hadn’t already guessed it from looking at the schedule, the Kentucky vs. Baylor game on Friday, December 6th at Cowboys Stadium will be part of the new SEC/Big 12 Challenge next season. The Challenge pits all 10 Big 12 teams against 10 SEC teams, with Arkansas, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee sitting out the first year.

Eight of the 10 games in the 2013 event will be played at home sites (each conference has four home games) and two matchups will be at neutral sites. Here’s the schedule, with times and TV networks TBD:

Thursday, November 14
Texas Tech at Alabama

Monday, December 2
Vanderbilt at Texas
Auburn at Iowa State

Thursday, December 5
Ole Miss at Kansas State
West Virginia at Missouri
TCU at Mississippi State

Friday, December 6
South Carolina at Oklahoma State
Kentucky vs. Baylor (Arlington, Texas)

Tuesday, December 10
Kansas at Florida

Saturday, December 21
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma (Houston, Texas)

    although we may dislike some of our sec schools i always like to see the sec do well when we play out of conference schools.

    @12: Nah. Just hate Tennessee. I usually cheer for the rest of the SEC. Looking foward to the KU UF matchup. Kinda wish we could have played KU but the Baylor game has been setup for a while.

    #6 if all the mcdonalds all americans avr.10 points thats 70 a game then if WCS gets 10 thats 80 and if Kyle gets like 8 Thats 88 and Polsen 2 Thats 90 We will be okay

    #15 – don’t forget Willis and Hawkins….do they leapfrog Polson and Hood?

    I agree with #16-we have plenty of shooters now, unlike a year ago.
