Kentucky will host Alabama next season

So much for that “No Alabama” plea. The SEC just released its 2013 conference football schedule and the Cats will play host to Alabama on October 12. Get ready to tear the goalposts down.

Have a look at Kentucky’s entire 2013 SEC schedule:

September 28 — FLORIDA
October 5 — @ South Carolina
October 12 — ALABAMA
October 26 — @ Mississippi State
November 9 — MISSOURI
November 16 — @ Vanderbilt
November 23 — @ Georgia
November 30 — TENNESSEE

Who’s ready for that trip to Starkville???

It has been too long.

Why stop with tearing down the goal posts? Let’s just go ahead and tear the rest of Commonwealth Stadium down, as bad as the football team sucks – ESPECIALLY if Joker returns!

9.) Vandy is probably a 50-50 chance game, the second win of course being Alabama.

Mizzou and UT at home and Vandy on the road are possible wins. We have a lot of good young talent…just need a good coaching staff to develop, prepare, and motivate (areas the current staff are obviously deficient in). Also, WKU and UL will likely have new coaches, so you never know.

Next year will not be pretty. Even a new coach will tell us, yes his team is young but most of them are not SEC caliber players and that isn’t his fault. Lord knows what our Joke of a coach would use next year, but that’s not happening. Every SEC team is getting better and our current staff is taking us back to the end of the pack.

A loss is a loss…why does it matter if Arkansas is beating us 49 – 7, or Alabama is putting it on us 56-0?

number 18..our good young talent will still be 2 stars playing against 4 and 5 stars. no coach can help this bunch unless it is jc.

Somebody called it a killer schedule. The current RPI has the Cats Strength Of Schedule ranked number one in NCAA football.
Take a guess what Louisville’s SOS is?

    ready for it?

out of 124 Football Bowl Subdivision schools, U of L’s Strength of Schedule is 120.

Keep Joker through next year! We’re going 0-8 in any case and if we’re lucky, another year like this one will get Barnhart fired as well.

0-8 right there. Anyone who disagrees is dillusional. We will not win ANY of these games. Mark it 10/18/2012, it’s a fact.

  36. OK
    3:42 pm October 18, 2012 Permalink

Look UK has no more a hard schedule than does Alabama or LSU or anyone in the SEC. Are strenght of schedule is hard because UK’s ability is smaller compared to Bama’s. They play the same teams or harder like LSU but lower strength due to them being bad aszes….

So therefore if UK played the TN school for the blind every game We’d have a very hard Strength of schedule because Joker’s team(s) suck donkey nuts.

    I agree with #35 – 0-8… Hell funk next yr we’ll be 0-8 this year…

I heard UK players have to share Jock straps due to the football program having no money due to Mitch’s AD actions

Well, what schedule could we possibly have that we would expect more then 1-2 wins next year?! There isn’t one when it comes to the SEC.

  44. Do whatever it takes
    5:03 pm October 18, 2012 Permalink

To bring Kirby smart in next year. He is Saban 2.0 and could pull six wins off that schedule and only lose by two possessions to Alabama.

Take a look around the SEC the teams that have winning SEC records do it by having good defenses year in and year out

Really we play Louisville, three non BCS schools, and a struggling Missouri, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. The coach makes all the difference look at miss state they aren’t undefeated because of a winning tradition, but because they’re AD pulled his head out of his arse and hired a true coach

  48. RealCatsFan
    5:24 pm October 18, 2012 Permalink

I could see UK going 0-16 next year, because the margins against UF, Bama, USC and UGA will be so bad they will count as two losses…

  49. Without a change
    5:32 pm October 18, 2012 Permalink

If they don’t ditch joker you might as well put uk football in the I-a independent category. Because consecutive 0-8 SEC records would be in humane

The cats may end up having a longer losing streak than wku had a few years ago…IF joker stays. Sad but true…

What #6 said. The only way next season can be positive is if we have a real coach that can start the rebuilding process. I hate saying that. Didn’t we just go through a rebuilding process?
