In a game that LSU folks are calling the biggest home game since the turn of the century (that sounds more impressive than it is), Kentucky goes on the road to play at LSU today in front of a national television audience in a game that should give us an idea where the Cats are at this point in the season. Unlike the last three games, this is not a “must win”. I think the Cats may have done enough to make the tourney anyway, but even if they havent, they have to win one of the next three. This game is the toughest of the lot and even going into this season, it would have been hard to predict a win on the road against the Tigers.
I actually will enjoy watching this one. The pressure in many ways is off, as the Cats really are playing with a few more chips than in recent games. With a win, the Cats are certainly in the tourney and may be heading towards a decent seed. A loss, and there still is another week to take care of business. The Cats have been on a role, but they have to hit shots from the outside. John Brady is a notoriously poor coach, but he has a lot of talent….watch for the game to become a general “grind it out” affair as Tubby and company hope to out-coach the Tigers.
No prediction, but I look forward to it nonetheless….Woo v. Big Baby. What more can you ask for?
