Kentucky vs. Louisville will have a noon kick-off on ESPN

The Louisville/Kentucky football game scheduled for September 14th now has an official kick-off time. The UK/UL game will start at noon ET on ESPN. The national coverage part is great, but a noon kick-off is certainly a bit disappointing.

Go Cats. Go morning drinking. Go Krogering.

I’m convinced that sports would be better without ESPN.

And most of your fanbase – all 27 of them – won’t be awake to watch the game…the hangover effect of Aristocrat Canadian whiskey (we know you can’t really afford Crown Royal), smokin’ blunts, and finishing up the late shift at Taco Bell.

This just shows where both UK & UL stand on the priority ladder when it comes to football; no one outside the BNN or the City limits of Louisville care about this game. ESPN just doin what they’ve gotta do. Since UL plays no one this year, their season ticket holders are really getting screwed.

It’s never too early for a thrashing. Get it over early and quickly.

This is just another reason why this game should always be played as the season opener. Louisville fans have always wanted it to stay that way and at this point I doubt many Kentucky fans are in favor of it being the third game of the year.
