Kentucky up to No. 3 in Rivals team rankings

With this afternoon’s pledge from four-star JUCO defensive tackle Cory Johnson, Coach Mark Stoops has improved his 2014 class to No. 3 in the country. And there is a chance we’ll be playing more Yahtzee! before long…

Seeing the Cats near the top of that list, battling it out among the best college football programs will never get old.

Doesn’t seem that long ago that many were promoting Joker as such a good recruiter. And that UK could never hope for a great recruiting class.

KY is #14 according to ESPNs rankings. Is there any science behind these rankings? Not complaining. Just wondering. Go Cats.

If Coach Stoops is as good on the field as he is off of it then a 6-6 record is not out of the question. Good coaching goes a long way. Look at Ohio St. the year before last when they (only?) won 6 or 7 games compared to last year when they went undefeated after Urban Meyer took over. Not saying Coach Stoops is another Urban Meyer, but I’m not saying he isn’t either. 3-4 wins this upcoming season would be the best case scenario if Joker Phillips was still at UK. I think Coach Stoops’ best case scenario is better than Joker’s and that is why I think 6-6 isn’t out of the realm of possibility. I guess only time will tell how Coach Stoops does, but so far so good…
