We continue our tradition unlike any other with our weekly guarantee in the wagering world, the Five Star Lock of the Week. Two years ago, we hit on 10 of 12 locks for an 83% success rate. Last year we came back and did fewer picks, but hit 8 of 10 for an 80% rate. This year, we won last week with our first pick (Ole Miss over Memphis) and now bring pick 2 for those out there ready to let it ride. This week’s pick is:
West Virginia (-7.5) over East Carolina.
What are the signs of a great Five Star pick? Well if you remember from years past, always look for the team overvalued due to a big upset win the week before. East Carolina upsets Virginia Tech and thus gets too much credit this week, as they prepare to take on a spread offense they arent ready for and the Mountaineers win by at least 17. As a secondary selection (but not an official pick) take the over on Texas A&M and New Mexico (38.5) or Georgia Tech and Boston College (38). Both will make you happy.
