Kentucky Loses Football Commitment

adaron

Late on Monday night, Kentucky lost its second commitment of the 2012 class when Darone Bailey, the JUCO OT changed his decision from Kentucky to Ole Miss. Even though he was coming off ACL surgery, Bailey was a player that the UK staff believed could come in and potentially compete for minutes next season and with the offensive line depleted, his loss is important. The staff has done a relatively good job of keeping a solid class together, so one hopes that this is simply a one-time thing due to a coaching change (Ole Miss hiring Hugh Freeze, who recruited Bailey at Arkansas State) and not a sign of things to come. The last time that UK lost a commitment, it followed it up within days with another player at the same position. We shall see if that repeats again here.

Why would anyone want to play for Joke / UK??? In fact, anyone wanting to play for our team should be mentally evaluated.

Mr.Moderator, what happened to the “Negative” policy you talked about 2 months ago? I do not see anything positive in any remarks by your experts!

No worries. Given the propensity for injuries, to our players, the probability of re-injury, at KENTUCKY, is/was extremely high.

see you got people who just watch football then you got people who know football. the people who know football knew it wasnt going to be a great year when all of our playmakers left on the offense side of the ball and the people who know football know that every team loses players every year even the best teams lose commitments

An injured recruit goes somewhere else…doesnt seem like a big loss. Why would we recruit an injured player anyway? If they get hurt in HS football, how could they be tough enough to play in the SEC? Getting tired of hearing bout how great some of our guys are, if only they wasnt injured…

16, The problem is coaching which has led to the de-commits as well as the miserable state of KY football.
Until misguided fans stop supporting financially, we are doomed for failure.

I chuckle at the comments:) UK football is on the “RISE” ! Coach Phillips is a wise recruiter and has landed some great recruits. All teams lose a recruit here and there. No worries at all.

Good to see UK “fans” help the perception of the program with good, positive public comments on the Internet!

I’m gonna believe most of these comments are from opposing fans. This is EXACTLY the kind of crap you’d want to post on your rival’s site, posing as a fan, to harm their program. I hope potential recruits realize that.
