Kentucky is No. 2

134140716

Kentucky moved up a spot in the polls with a little help from our friends in Indiana. The Cats are ranked No. 2 this week, thanks to Ohio State’s loss to the Hoosiers.

Syracuse is still No. 1, Duke is No. 3, and Louisville doesn’t exist.

In other news, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was named Player of the Week by the SEC after averaging 21 points and 12.5 rebounds in Kentucky’s wins over Lamar and Louisville. Anthony Davis was named SEC Freshman of the Week.

Go Cats.

One question: How can anybody vote Duke ahead of Ohio State after the plastering the Buckeyes laid on them? Duke should not be in the top 10.

I think we will defiantly finish #1 at the end of the season. Thank you and I will hang up and listen.

why can’t MKG be SEC player & FR of the week? what does it matter? is there some terrible rule saying you can’t be both?

Rankings don’t mean anything. How often does the number one ranked team win the championship?

    6. I agree. I wish we wouldn’t be ranked #1 again until the final game of the tournament. #1 ranking hasn’t helped us at all. Seems the boys play harder when not ranked 1.

#5. Yes there is such a rule. We ran into it once before, I think during Wall’s run…but not sure.
