Kentucky is a 17.5-point favorite

Kentucky is the worst team in America against the spread, covering just 3 of 17 opening spreads so far this season. The Cats covered in their first three games and are on a 0-14 slump ATS ever since. If you know gambling, that means a very favorable line for Kentucky bettors should be coming soon. I just don’t know if this one is it.

The good people out in Vegas say the Cats are a 17.5-point favorite over Arkansas tonight in Rupp Arena. Arkansas is 0-3 ATS in road games this season, so someone’s losing streak has to end. (Unless it’s a push, of course.)

I’m going with another missed cover for Kentucky and a 84-68 win.

Your predictions?

It is very suspicious that we never cover the spread.

Lamb and Jones both come out of their “slumps”. Lamb gets 20 and Jones gets 18-10.

As Drew is such a learned scholar, I must ask, how can a 17.5 spread be a push?

I think several of the KSR writers may MAY have a gambling problem.

We will cover. This won’t be a zone slow down game. Arkansas style of play is perfect for UK.

Cats struggle with the press, win by 12 but have 20 turnovers.

    CATS: 86
    HOGS: 70

last second garbage layup by Arkansas ruins the spread again.

we will NEVER cover the spread against a decent team with all these young guys playing

We will have something to do with this number. If we can limit our turnovers. Keeping the number under 2 per minute played, the cats should cover.

I’d like to believe we blow the Hogs out. However, facing the press will be difficult and I see this game coming down to us having to make our free throws in the final minutes. 82-73
