Kentucky opens up as a 12-point favorite over the Commodores out in Sin City. The number seems a little high to me, but who am I to question the great minds behind college basketball odds making?

We were a 1 point favorite over UT, lost by 30. So going by vegas, we should only lose by 19. I hope we stomp their guts out though. We need it.

I am disappointed with this season just like everyone else but I hope our home crowd shows up and are super loud on this stretch of home games! These kids need a boost! I want to hear go big blue chants echo through downtown lexington! If we are truly the best fan base then we will all come together for these kids!

The line is not a prediction of the final score. It’s an attempt to get equal betting on each side. There’s always extra points for the die hards that bet UK no matter what.

Vandy ranked 128th w Basket power ranking (BPI) of 58.1 according to espeen. RPI @ 140
    Kentucky ranked 76.5 (BPI) UK RPI= 44

Kentucky @ home “should” equal UK covers the spread.

    who knows?

Hope wish so! I live in Nashville and went to the Vandy vs T A&M game Saturday evening (freebie tix) and Vandy looked better at this point in the season. For sure they live by the 3… and were hitting them that night – and ET of A&M was not! Not saying Vandy is great – but if they shoot well it will be tough – unless we likewise shoot well. Still think the biggest advantage is inside as Vandy’s Henderson is not great and Odom does not want to play there. Moats is about the same as Henderson… soft (but look who’s saying soft). Seems to me Alex could really make a move if he wants to. In Nashville – UK let K Johnson penetrate at will – ridiculous! That cannot happen.

When did UK last cover the spread? Will believe it when I see it. I hope for the win by all means, however 12 points I think is a little far fetched. Please prove me wrong.

That point spread must have been made by the same NBA scouts who tell us that Archie and Alex are NBA ready and first round draft picks.

All in all sometimes the greatest business plan in the world turns to crap. This just happens to be one of those years. Coach Cal knows what he is doing…obviously. The inputs into the plan just turned out to be a very bad batch. Just need to figure out how to make chicken salad out of the chicken poop.

This team isn’t 12 points better than any team in the top 150 right now. We thought the UT loss was bad, wait until we see what Mizzou does to us in the paint.

That looks like a good spread with a healthy Noel in the lineup. Without Noel it looks like Vegas is trying to give money away. Think I will take some.

Unless we recover dramatically from last game we lose by at least 15. We can wish all we want but our offense appears almost non-existent. This point spread is absurd considering the last game which unfortunately I don’t believe was a fluke. Nerlens was covering up our deficiencies all year and now we see a weak team. Hope I am wrong BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>
