Kentucky gets another WR

Kentucky just picked up its fifth commitment of the 2012 class. Shawn Blaylock, a wide receiver from… wait for it… Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, GA gave his verbal to UK this morning. Blaylock is the second wide receiver in the class, along with his Stephenson teammate, Demarcus Sweat.

At what point do we just relocate the Kentucky football facilities to Stone Mountain? Joker runs that town and it’s loaded with talent.

Welcome aboard.

If Joker runs that town, why are most of the kids that are committed, committed to Miami(Fl), FSU, UF? Stephenson, GA has enough talent this year to match UK’s football team, not that I’m happy about that at all.

And I’m sure they’ve added a few inches, so in reality he’s probably only around 5’7″. Just as long as he plays big I guess.

He’s not kind to Mookie’s twins but it’d be nice to get them as well. Shawn Blaylock is going to play Corner according to what a Stephenson assistant told Steve Jones.

Wonder how much we would have to bump up Coach Cal’s salary to get him to do the football recruiting too…

If you guys hate UK Football so much…then please don’t waste our time with all the negative coments.
No one thought Randell Cobb was any good either!
Go Football Cats! Please pay no attention to these people. They don’t go to the games. But there are many great UK Fans who do

6′ 180Lbs Ran a 4.49 at our camp and also had 3 interceptions. I trust our coach to bring in good players. Dont get caught up on offer sheet and rankings before he has played his Senior Year. Ray Sanders was a 1* prospect when he committed and he blew up. Alex Smith was a 4* prospect who ended up 7th on the depth chart before transferring to Ohio. Our staff has proven itself in regards to under the radar gems. Folks, building this takes time. We arent a traditional power yet we play with and recruit against traditional powers. We have been consistently competitive against everyone not named Florida. The National Champs had to beat us with a field goal as time expired last year. This year will be 5 straight against The Cards. We have the right coach for the job. All the real fans know what I’m sayin. All the fake fans are gonna hate or cheer for basketball only but I cant wait for football season to start. We will be better than people think. Plus, with Minters attacking defense we are gonna be a blast to watch. Go Cat’s!!!!

I’m a UK football fan and I think we are heading in the right direction for success. However, I get tired of losing games the team should win. We’ve had the game on the line in the closing seconds and can’t finish, can’t capitalize. The 5 OT Tennessee game a few years back comes to mind, the South Carolina game 2 years ago, and yeah, even the Auburn game last year. That was ours to lose, whether anyone wants to acknowledge that or not. I get tired of seeing these 3-4 yard passes and screens on 3rd and long. That said, I’ll always back the Cats and will never miss a game.

I usually just ignore the ignorance. #17 couldn’t have said it better. Guys, we look at how many *’s a kid has. Do you realize that it is almost impossible to fully evaluate all these kids in FB?? It isn’t like BBall and AAU tournaments. Even these 7-on-7 camps that go on doesn’t showcase a kid’s talent. #17 talked about Cobb, but also, what about Woodson, Tamme, Woodyard, and even Stevie Johnson?? It is nearly impossible for these recruiting experts to evaluate all these kids. #18, I am a die hard FB fan as well as BBall, but for every game we should’ve won but lost, there were games that we didn’t have a prayer and won… Auburn 2 years ago, LSU, UL (start of four year streak), USClite last year. We are knocking on the door, just gotta get the foot in it. When we do, some of the bigger named recruits will give UK a shot, because of it.
