Kentucky football hoping to add some pieces on offense

Kentucky football has been on a tear recently, appearing as high as No. 2 on the team ranking charts on Rivals. One player the Cats have on board, but not officially committed is three-star wide receiver Tyre Brady from Homestead, Fla. There was no “Yahtzee!” being played by the coaching staff shortly after his announcement, as we have grown so accustomed to seeing in celebration of a new player. It seems the staff is holding off on him for whatever reason, but the exact status is unclear.

Like four-star wide receiver Derek Kief who picks his school this evening. The Cincinnati La Salle product will be choosing between Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio State. Read that sentence again… Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio State. Now, the obvious guess for Kief is Alabama, considering he is fresh off a visit to Tuscaloosa. But crazier things have happened. Stay tuned into Twitter around 5:30 tonight for his decision and follow @DKief10 where he will make his announcement.

If Kief passes on the Cats, four-star wide receiver Braxton Berrios is still very much an option. He just released his top five, and included with Kentucky is Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. We know Drew Barker is on him hard.

Finally, a new name on the radar: Caldwell County High School quarterback Elijah Sindelar received an offer from UK late last week. A member of the 2015 class, Sindelar has not been rated by the scouting services. But we know the emphasis this coaching staff has on in-state kids, so whether he is a three-star or a five-star, Kentucky wants him.

Go for Berrios! 4.3 GPA in HS, 37″ vertical, 4.59 in the 40, starts/stops like a cheetah. What’s not to like? Also top 10 Twitter handle all-time.

I’ve heard Kief is struggling with his decision. He may pick Alabama but Kentucky will still recruit him until signing day. You never know what can happen.

How do we get 5 star recruits? Are any of them looking at Kentucky?

Elijah Sindelar is the real deal. 6′ 4″ or so and a great athlete at football and basketball and baseball. It’s pretty cool seeing a kids name from the ol alma matter on KSR. He led the tigers to the state championship game last year and hopefully will repeat the effort and bring home the title this fall.

I wish people like Joe would stop their whining and be happy with what we got going on in football. theres only a small percentage of players coming out of highschool that are 5-stars. some people no matter how much better things are getting always want more. they are the turds in the big blue punch bowl.

Calm down #10 Joe just asked a question! To answer your question Joe the #5 player according to Rivals has UK in the mix! I don’t know how serious he is about UK but UK is in the hunt!
I bet #10 was one of the ones who said Joker was recruiting good players.

@8 – The Cash I knew of died within the last few months. Not dogging you, but please don’t post with that handle again, you have no claim. Matt J had some entertaining calls with him, and gave him respect after his passing. Thank You.

Thank you #11. I was just asking a simple question and #10 has to go all crazy on me. With the influx of 4 star commitments, I am hoping some 5 stars take notice and will consider UK. I am happy with the 3 and 4 stars, but I am hoping some 5 stars take notice.

Its Alabama! Lets get Berrios. To be mentioned with Alabama in recruiting is a huge step.

Sindelar has an arm like a cannon. I’m not going to say how far he can sling it but its a long long ways. I watched him play 5 games last year (one was him picking my hs team apart) and he’s impressive. Really glad UK is on him early!
