University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Kentucky baseball is No. 1

We interrupt your afternoon of anticipation with some big news from the baseball diamond, where Kentucky is ranked No. 1 for the first time in school history. UK just won its first series at No. 18 Georgia since the 2000 season and is off to the best start in school history with a 27-2 record.  The Bat Cats opened the SEC schedule with a sweep of two-time defending champs South Carolina.

Now back to basketball…

All of those lowsy 3-and-done players!! They should change the rule because the UK baseball team is making a mockery of the great sport of baseball!!

If we could just learn to dribble a football we would win National Championship!

Face it, as long as Barnhart is in Lexington…UK football will never be good. Congrats to the baseball team though!! Nicely done guys!

Don’t give Barnhart to much credit. We have been listening to promises of a new stadium for ten years. When you look at most of the other SEC schools what we have is a joke. Give the congrats to the players and coaches,,,not Mitch. Remember this is the same man that had the wisdom to hire Billy G.

It’s a little early yet but if these guys can stay the course, I would highly recommend any true blue fan make the trip to Omaha. The College World Series is the most under rated sporting event in the country. IF they make it, GO TO OMAHA! You won’t regret it! GO CATS!!!

While Barnhart has given us all many reasons to question some of his decisions, he is a big reason for this. Before he came to Kentucky the previous administrators gave little funding or support to the baseball program. How many other SEC coaches had to go out and do all of their own fund raising like Keith Madison had to do for the stadium renovations in early 2000? Congratulations BatCats, and kudos to Mitch for providing the money and resources to the program to get them on a more level playing field with the rest of the SEC. This is a great time to be a UK Fan!

Would be awesome if they make a run in the CWS. But it will not be easy SEC is nearly as stacked in Baseball as it is in Football.

WOW!!! I’ve been trying to keep up with the BatCats all season. They took two of three in Athens and UGA was ranked 18th in the nation. Not only is this team sweeping great teams at home, but they are beginning to take road series over some really great teams too!! This team could really be something special. I read about them a few weeks ago as being a team of guys who just LOVE to play the game and cannot wait to get on the field each day. Like I said, this could be a special team. The name of the game in college baseball is consistency though, and here’s hoping they can keep the program at the top. I love UK! Way to go, Boys!!!

yes 12, hope they can hold it together, win an outright SEC Championship and run deep into the CWS. Henderson has been a trooper and finally it looks like things are going his way. WOW this is really big stuff!!!!

It is amazing how UK fans can turn something like this into something Negative against Barnhart. And we wonder why the country thinks we are crazy.

    9. Barnhart also got us Calipari, when Cal was insistant he would never leave Memphis. If you criticize the negative of the man you also have to admit the positive.

    # 17,,,,,,if memory serves me,,,,he did not even call Calipari before he hired Billy G. Coach Cal has said several times that he was waiting for the phone to ring when Tubby left. Does not sound like a man that would not leave Memphis. I will give him credit for finally contacting Calipari after the Billy G disaster.

#4 – Don’t forget UK Men’s Tennis, undefeated in SEC play and will probably stay that way with their remaining schedule.
