Kent State has the advantage in preparation

After opening the season with a rare Sunday afternoon football game, Kentucky has a short week to prepare for Kent State. Joker’s weekly press conference was scrapped yesterday for film and the team will have just four days of practice this week to get ready.

Kent State, however, has all the time in the world to get ready for the Wildcats. The Flashes played a Thursday night game last week, so they have a three-day head start on the Cats. Kent State head coach Darrell Hazell and his staff also had the luxury of watching Kentucky’s opener against Louisville on ESPN.

“It definitely helps because you can see some signals and things like that that typically you can’t see off regular game film,” Hazell said. “It wasn’t a lot of things, but anytime you can see the mechanics of how they shuttle things in and out it’s good.”

Joker is scheduled to meet with the media at 11:30ish following Kentucky’s practice this morning. We’ll have a report here on the site as soon as we can.

Go Cats.

The fact that we are saying that Kent State has an advantage over an SEC team because the got to watch it on tv Shows you the Laughable state of UK football, Unless UK decides to spend the Money on better facilities and Hire a big name Coach it will only get worse.

Will someone please let us know what jokers says in the interview? I couldn’t understand much of what he said after the Louisville game.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is called damage control at its finest.

Our football team is terrible. I wish it was better. I hope it will soon. I’m still supporting them anyways.

I highly, highly doubt we’ll beat Kent St. We have absolutely no defense. I don’t think alot of our defensive starters would get on the field at any other major D-1 FBS team.

Perhaps the less Joker spends with them the better.

Look on the bright side … the defense couldn’t be bagged up because they didn’t hit anyone.

Joker better spend all week working with the defense to “Stop the Run”, Joker needs to take baby steps to stop the bleeding, if you try to fix all the problems you end up not fixing any problems.

Kent State, and every other team for that matter, has the advantage — alot more than an extra day of preparation….The good news is there are only 38 days till midnight madness! Go Cats!!

Think UK can come up with a scheme that will induce Kent State’s “Wrong Way Andre” to run the wrong way again? Nawwwwww!!!
