Ken Pomeroy predicts the future. And it’s bad.

Ken Pomeroy and his magical score-predicting time machine can tell you anything about college basketball. Ken just sets the device to a future date, plugs in some old stats, pours in his fairy forecasting brew, and Voi-là ! – out comes the final score of a college basketball game that hasn’t happened yet. It’s otherworldly and the score is always accurate 67% of the time when a team’s assist to turnover ratio is 2-1 while scoring 70 or more points on the road in a non-conference game against an unranked opponent in Texas. So, as Cats fans, we should really be worried by Pomeroy’s prediction for this year’s UK/Louisville game. Pomeroy predicts a 72-71 Louisville victory over Kentucky. Blasphemy!
Louisville did look pretty not terrible last night in the home opener against #18 Butler, but can they really beat Kentucky? I thought those days were long behind us. Surely, Baby Brother can’t compete with the Cats? Can they?
It’s still early in the season so I bet the formula is off balance in Ken’s mystical elixir. Maybe try adding more dragon’s blood or frankincense and less basil. Get it fixed, Ken.
