University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Karl Towns will reclassify to 2014 and play at Kentucky

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Karl Towns Jr. announced his intentions to play basketball for the University of Kentucky this morning.  He also announced that he will reclassify to 2014.

It’s like the 517th commitment from a 5-star recruit in the John Calipari era at Kentucky.  I can’t even keep track anymore.

Go Cats.

isn’t it true that he’ll have to play at least 2 years, and maybe 3 because of his age??

Nope, that’s St. Patricks. Theres a triangle of schools in New Jersey that are all top basketball programs in the country; St Joseph, St Patricks, and St Anthonys

can we get a video replay? I mean, I know it just happened like 10 minutes ago, but dammit this is 2012 and we got technology and stuff

SO we basically instead of playing with true freshman we are playing with true seniors!

3 – because of his age? the guy is already 17 and has 2 more years in hs, probably the oldest kid in his class

Was #1 in class of 2015 – has dropped to #7 in class of 2014 rankings per Scout.

#11 Yea I saw Evan Daniels tweet that, makes no sense to me. Your telling me this kid is considered the best sophmore in the country, yet there are 6 juniors who are better than him and would also be the number one player over him if they were in 2015? no way

    Welcome Karl

    6. This is said every year about a player that reclassified. He will be 19 the year of the draft, and 1 year removed from high school. Don’t think many would reclassify without making sure they could leave after 1 year.

That TUBBY-loving fool must stay up ’til 3AM and sleep ’til noon.
Where is he this morning? Hung over?

This is great news, but I’m really anxious about the football news and the game
tonight. Phew. It’s an exciting time to be a UK fan. CATS CATS… KATS!

Welcome Karl. We’re really looking forward to you playing here. Now spend the next year and a half enjoying school, keeping your grades strong, and challenging yourself to be the best basketball player you can be. Welcome to BBN!

    11) He’ll probably move back up, but he’s got a year to develop more. Just a matter of if he keeps pushing himself or relaxes now that he’s committed.

Great news, seems like a great kid and very well spoken and seems to love the camera…probably one of the best “commitments” I’ve watched since it was more than the typical “I’m going to Kentucky”…You gotta love a 7′ player that can step out and drain 3’s as well. He’s gonna be a stud at UK.

What a great kid and parents. Cal is the greatest at bringing talent to Lexington but on top of that the kids have such great character. The Calipari ride just continues to get better and better!!

The kid is 7 foot tall, has a 4.0 gpa, is president of his high school class, can shoot the three and is learning to play low post, and Kevin Durant was impressed with his speaking skills recently. He is reclassifying due to his academic success. Cal does it again!

Quickest way to get attention from UK/Cal (besides being a freak basketball athlete) is to make sure you have a 3-part name
