The latest, and most exciting, prospect to jump on the UK radar is Kadeem Jack. Jack was destined for prep school but is now being heavily recruiting by UNC and UK. Before UK jumped firmly in the mix, it was thought that Jack was sure to go to UNC, basically because they are UNC, but Calipari has made Kentucky into Kentucky again so Jack to UNC doesn’t seem like quite the lock it was.
For me, Jack represents a player that could make me forget about the loss of a Terrence Jones or CJ Leslie type of prospect pretty quickly. His skill level should have him making an impact on the college scene almost right away. Want proof?
If you remember back during the Tobias Harris recruitment, there was a time where everyone felt that JayVaughn Pinkston was the newest Volunteer. Tobias swooped in and took his spot at the last second and Pinkston had to go to, ho hum, Villanova. He’s a talented 2010 prospect. Jack and Pinkston are both New York boys and the video shows Jack more than holding his own against another high D-1 athlete.
My question now is this: Wait on Jones and risk losing Jack or take Jack and move on? What’s your feelings?
