Justise Winslow gets an offer

Adam Zagoria spoke to Houston Hoops head coach Tim Schumacher today and confirmed that Kentucky has extended a scholarship offer to Justise Winslow.

“Calipari basically offered Justise and said that they really were impressed and saw some things in him that really think he’ll be a good fit for their system,” Schumacher told at the Nike Global Challenge.

The 6-foot-6 wingman recently trimmed his list to 10 schools and Kentucky did not make the cut, but with Calipari now eyeing his game and offering a scholarship, Winslow is considering the Wildcats.

Cal continues to widen that net over the 2014 recruiting class.

His father played in the NBA years ago and played at the University of Houston. He goes to one of the best schools in Houston, which is the most expensive high school here. I know many people that know him and his family and speak glowingly of him and how great of a young man he is. Therefore, I’d love to have him come to UK.

I will now have to go see him play.

#3. He’s #16 on Rivals. He had previously been a top 10 player.

Bryan in Houston don’t waste my time with what a good kid he is. As long as he doesn’t commit felonies I want him to commit to my favorite jersey.

I wish some of these players accept Cal’s offer to attend UK and then the others will either get on the bus or miss it and be stuck on another lesser team.

We now have 3 incoming recruits from Texas and it seems we have offered at least 3 for next year, like I said before annex Texas into the Commonwealth and we would have a seaport.
