Justin Taylor to transfer?

justin-taylor

Ryan Bartow from TigerIllustrated.com is hearing UK running back Justin Taylor will transfer to South Carolina State, according to a tweet Bartow sent earlier today.

Taylor, a former Alabama commit, is on the wrong end of Kentucky’s depth chart at running back so the move wouldn’t be a shocker. Stoops recently said the redshirt freshman has “a lot of work to do.”

It’d still be nice to keep him in Lexington though. We’ll see…

This guy reminds me of Brandon Gainer, so much hype coming in but never saw him on the field. Not a shocking move by Taylor though.

We have plenty of depth in the backfield even after he transfers. Jojo Kemp is going to surprise people. I think he will be a player remembered for a long time.

How bad must you be to decide to transfer when you still have 4 whole years of eligibility left to get bigger, stronger, and faster?

Stoops and crew have established the expectations — there will some kids who don’t want to / or are unable to do what may be necessary to meet them. Wish them well —

I know Justin, he’s a great kid. I’ll be sorry to see him go if this report is true, but the best of luck to him. I’ll miss him.
