Julius Randle and the Harrison twins: the ultimate package deal?

The AAU National Championships wrapped up on Monday in Orlando, and by all accounts, the stars of the tournament were the Harrison twins, Julius Randle, and Matt Jones. Rivals’ Corey Albertson was on the scene and shared this drool-worthy tidbit:

Head coaches from Kentucky, North Carolina, Baylor, Ohio State, Kansas, Maryland and Louisville all attended multiple games of each prospect; and rumors on the circuit connected each school to each prospect at some point. The most interesting rumblings among the coaches was the rumor Randle and the Harrison twins could all choose John Calipari’s “Big Blue” together.

So much for those rumors that Randle didn’t want to play with the Harrison twins. Maybe they’ve bonded over dreams of playing for the Big Blue?

    I approve of this possibility.

By the way, why exactly is NBC refusing to show the 2 biggest teams from USA on any network besides their pay one? Seriously, you can’t find most of the USA basketball or Women’s Soccer games on tv.

I thought it was Wayne Seldon who did not want to play with the Harrison Twins.

Imagine this…Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Julius Randle, Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Wiltjer, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Archie Goodwin on the same team. Shoo…just crown ’em.

The twins are studs. But to be honest with you, Julius Randle is severely overrated. After watching him play on ESPNU for Each1Teach1 from FL, I came away dissapointed. He is the ultimate “me-first” player, constantly dribbling into traffic with his head down, barreling over defenders, forcing up contested jump shots while being double or triple teamed. He is a freak on the H.S. level b/c of his strength, size and athleticism. He won’t be able to live off that in College. He seems to have the Austin Rivers type of personality, which I’m not very fond of.

    13) Even if he is like that, I trust Cal would be able to change his game. Or at the very least take full advantage of it in a system.

Wow, it’s amazing how 13 and I, after seeing the same thing, come away with such different opinions. He’s quick, he’s got a handle, he’s got a great spin move, he’s strong and not afraid of contact, and he passes out to the perimeter if the interior traffic is too heavy. The guy is a stud and we need him.

Wiggins and XRM? Harrison Twins and Randle? If we get both those package deals I honestly don’t know how we dont win another national championship. If even one guy from this year stays with that squad next year, undefeated season.

#13 Is that you Tipton? Probably not, or he would have added that Randle could follow his teammate Jones to Duke.

So with those 3 and Wiggins if he reclassifies, We’d have most likely 4 of the top 5 recruits in the country including the top PG, top SG, top PF, and depending on if Wiggins goes to number one above Parker, possibly the top SF. Unprecedented even for a Cal class.
