The big debate in UK recruiting this season, at least amongst the fans, has been whether to put the full court press on Josh Selby or Brandon Knight. It would seem that UK has chosen to go harder after Knight but many times that can just be a case of feeling more confident in landing one recruit over the other and may have nothing to do with beliefs about their skill levels. When it comes to Calipari and recruiting, I tend to turn myself into a complete mindless sheep and allow him to lead me wherever he thinks we should go. Until he steers me wrong, I stick with that method.
I think it would take a basketball knowledge level the equivalent of a brain surgeon in order to pick who is actually going to be better on the college level, Selby or Knight, but I am interested in hearing what you guys think. Have at it below.
And for more discussion ammunition, look at Cornell’s top basketball recruit and ask yourself, could Kentucky learn something from Cornell’s methods in order to make themselves better?
