jorts-china

Congrats to Josh Harrellson, who has been named Asia-Basket Player of the Year in China. Harrelson averaged 22.3 points, 18.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, and 2.4 steals for Chongquing FD this year.

In addition to being named Player of the Year, Josh was also given Forward of the Year, Import of the Year, All-NBA First Team and All-Domestic Team honors. He’s also made jean shorts the hottest trend in the Southwest China.

Those numbers are insane! Asia-Basket must be bad…he didn’t get a fair shot in the NBA imo. Every time he came off the bench for the knicks he played well, no idea why he didn’t stick.

If Josh made the All-Domestic Team, he is Chinese. Since he is ‘Merican, he made the All-Imports Team.

That’s awesome. That trophy will go well with his NBA Championship ring from this year.

I am glad to see this, although I thought Hassan Whiteside might getting this award. This league is not the major league over in China, and Jorts was poised to dominate. I hope this gets him some money in the long run. Hopefully in the NBA, but realistically on a European or Asian team in the future. I’m a fan.

Dr. Funke, Josh was the shit in NY, and they may end up wanting him back. I sure hope so.

    Congrats to Jorts!

However, the “All-NBA” in your post just shows that you lifted this straight from CoachCal.com though because that’s what they incorrectly wrote when the award itself, and the article you linked, says All-NBL. Just keepin it honest. I’m sure the KSR anti-ombudsman will delete my comment shortly.

4 – That’s because she just copied what they wrote on CoachCal.com. At least correct their mistakes if you’re just passing stuff along. Sloppy.

I thought Josh had a place with the Knicks till Mike Woodson got fired by Atlanta and hired on with NY. I hope an NBA team gives him another look.

That is awesome… very happy for Josh. He has more talent than he was given credit for when he first arrived at UK, but it’s his effort which makes him the great player that he is.

don’t forget that he created one of my top twenty UK basketball moments when he beaned Sullenger in the head a few years back.

He beamed Sullinger in the chest. Close though

What chest did he beam Sullinger into? Was Scottie involved in this beaming?

Miami should get rid of Bosh and bring Jorts back. Only thing Bosh did to help them win it was get an offensive rebound and pass it to Allen. Jorts can do that for a lot less money.

23, Jorts threw that ball so fricking hard at Sullinger, that it did seem out of this world! I bet Jared still has a tattoo from Jort’s fastball. I still smile every time I think of that play and that game.
