Josh Harrellson injured

Amid all the college basketball excitement late last night, and the somber news about Joe Paterno passing this morning a bit of unfortunate news slipped through the cracks, and it hits a little closer to home. Our boy Jorts broke his right wrist last night during a game against Denver.

LEX 18 reports Harrellson suffered the injury when he fell to the ground at the end of the first overtime of the Knicks’ double-overtime loss to the Nuggets. He had two points and six rebounds in 17 minutes.

Harrellson is expected to miss six weeks after surgery, which has yet to be scheduled.

All of us at KSR wish Jorts well. For a guy who not many expected to make it, he’s doing the Big Blue Nation proud representing in The Big Apple. Good luck in your recovery, big guy.

Guys, knowing the power of the BIG BLUE NATION on voting polls, I thought that I would try this. My army buddy that I served with overseas has a daughter. I am her godfather. They live in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is trying for some spot on a TV program there. I would appreciate anyone who would take the time to vote for her. Her name is Kayla Daly. You can just copy the link and place your vote. Thanks in advance for anyone who would take the time to do this. GO BIG BLUE.

Thanks to everyone who has voted so far. She is now in second place.

He will be fine. He fought too hard to get a gig in the NBA to let this stop him. God speed, Jorts.

I hate to say it, but Karma has caught up with “Big Nasty”… Or “weirdo creepy pedophile guy” as I like to call him. I hope Josh recovers well but his freaky ways have caused karma
    to be against him.

Cal and uk sold their soul to the devil. No uk players ever get hurt while they are at UK. They have to pay the price at some point. Can’t win at all costs like Wes, uk and Cal do and not pay for it someday.

Anyone have more info on Jorts’ injury? All I have been able to discern is that he sufferred a fractured right wrist requiring surgery. My son recently broke his Radius and fractured his Ulna; it required a surgical ‘procedure’ at a major hospital to reset the Radius. It was at minimum 6 weeks in 3 different casts; and recovery was alot longer. Jorts should be able to stay in shape; but his shot is going to suffer this season. If Jorts is used to working hard, he just got more prescribed. And, the battle is uphill.

I guess his rookie salary will be paid, but this makes it harder to make the team next year. Anyone know how that works?
