Jordan Brand Classic Rosters Announced

ESPNU released the Jordan Brand Classic rosters tonight, which is usually somewhat similar to that of the McDonald’s rosters with a few shoe affiliations or other connections getting some in and leaving others out. Here’s what this year’s roster will look like:

East Team (Name, Position, Commitment Status)

Reggie Bullock Guard North Carolina
Kyrie Irving Guard Duke
Perry Jones Center Baylor
Jelan Kendrick Forward Memphis
Brandon Knight Guard Undecided
CJ Leslie Forward Undecided
Roscoe Smith Forward Connecticut
Jared Sullinger Center Ohio State
DeShaun Thomas Forward Ohio State
Dion Waiters Guard Syracuse

Notes: Jelan Kendrick’s head coach will be coaching the East team.

West Team
Harrison Barnes Forward North Carolina
Will Barton Guard Memphis
Tobias Harris Forward Tennessee
Terrence Jones Forward Undecided
Cory Joseph Guard Undecided
Doron Lamb Guard Undecided
Kendall Marshall Guard North Carolina
Josh Selby Guard Undecided
Josh Smith Center UCLA
Tristan Thompson Forward Texas

Notes: Terrence Jones’ head coach, Pat Strickland, will be an assistant coach, as will Michael Peck, who coaches a couple UK recruits at Findlay Prep.

Of the players making the McDonald’s rosters, Joe Jackson, Jayvaughn Pinkston, Fab Melo, Ray McCallum Jr., Keith Appling, Jereme Richmond and Patric Young didn’t make this roster. Of those not on the McDonald’s Roster, Will Barton, Dion Waiters and Roscoe Smith made the Jordan roster.

There are 6 undecided players on the roster and 5 of those players place UK towards the top of lists: Doron Lamb, Josh Selby, Brandon Knight, Terrence Jones and CJ Leslie.

The Jordan Brand Classic will be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, April 17th at 8:00 pm. It will air live on ESPN2.

I enjoy basketball, Kentucky sports and extremely short walks on the beach, followed by a nap. Sorry ladies, I'm taken.
