Jon Hood scheduled for surgery

Just a quick note on the recovery process of Jon Hood, who tore his ACL a couple of weeks ago and will most likely miss the season. Hood was on Twitter commiserating with North Carolina guard Leslie McDonald, who suffered the same injury recently, when he noted that he will be undergoing knee surgery on August 12th. He also noted that he had Oreo Cheesecake from Ramsey’s and that we should all be jealous, which I suppose isn’t quite as newsworthy as the surgery but does make me hungry.

We continue to wish Jon the best in his recovery and look forward to his return to action in the future.

I hope that Jon Hood’s Oreo Cheesecake from Ramsey’s will someday reach the legendary status of Jared Carter’s Potato Bacon soup from O’Charleys.

Who cares. The market was down 500 points. I lost $47,000 in my trading account today.

“…return to action”? Hood needs to play like Larry Bird to see action.

I actually think he could do it. He just hasn’t allowed himself the confidence for that level yet, that’s all.

Two guys that I know can play ball but just need one breakout season are Jon Hood and Darius Miller. Both guys could easily play in the league.

Here’s a question, assume the cats are down 1 with 5 seconds to go and the ball, who will take the last shot? My vote is for Miller

Granted, I am not a medical professional, but I would think that he would have the surgery ASAP after he tore it? Why the wait?

10 – Sorry, I just don’t see Jon Hood in the NBA. I appreciate your optimism, but there is zero chance.

@shadowboxer : my understanding of these injuries is that you can’t have the surgery until the swelling has subsided enough … hence the wait
