UK has just announced that Joker Phillips will coach the final two games of the season. Even more reason to #PackCommonwealth for the Samford game to give one of our own a respectful goodbye and support the seniors.

Why don’t they let everyone who wants in for free. That way there will at least be a crowd. Maybe say youth football players wearing their jersey get in free and can bring an adult with them. Do something to avoid an empty stadium.
Anyone who doesn’t have a seat can find an empty seat and should move if the ticket holder for that seat is one of the 20,000 who will show up.
Let’s let go of the negativity and give Joker and his assistants a positive send-off at the Samford game.
Good. Joker has given his life to UK Football. He cared about UK no matter what and has literally lived for that program and University. He deserves some respect for that. The fans got what they want, now the least they could do is show up for the Seniors and the football team if not for Joker. The whole idea of staying away was to protest against Joker keeping his job. That’s done. Now support the team. #BBN

I don’t know about everyone else, but I am really looking forward to a bunch more comments where Mitch is referred to as “Barnfart,” because hurrr fart rhymes with hart and fart is a funny word, right?
Although I’m pleased he was relieved of his duties…Joker has shown his true “class” and we should all appreciate that!

I hope Commonwealth is hopping….Joker deserves respect and admiration from this fan base as a player, assistant coach, head coach, and a Kentuckian. I am sure he did his best and wanted to win, it just didnt work out. I wish Joker nothing but the best of luck and still have the upmost respect for him.
Now the last two game need a full house. Not 12k fans they need 50,000 plus fans at the game. At least he try. Just that we need 5 stars players just like Coach Cal is doing. It is not the coach fault since he is not playing in the field.

Well stated #9, everyone has the right to their op, however the negative crap is not helpful, Ky football fans want a good product, but why would anyone want the staff to fail.
UK still does not care about the fans. Why have this game in late November at 7:30 at night. I know someone is going to say TV but if you want fans at the game tell TV to go to h__l. All they want is our money they do not care about the kids or the fans.

Great guy, but was not able to keep things going after Brookes left. Will there rain or shine and will try to make the trip to Knoxville and see if Dooley hangs or is gone after Big Blue comes to town.
@13 UK doesn’t have control of when the game is played. The SEC sets the times for the games. I will show up and cheer on my cats for the last game this season. I hate it for Joker, I know this wasn’t how he wanted to be remembered. He’ll end up at another program as a WR coach or OC and will have success. #packcommonwealth #BBN

Only at Kentucky do fans want to pack the house for a losing team. Joker doesn’t deserve anything but a pink slip. He destroyed UK football worse than probation in less than 3 seasons. Why should fans give the effort to show up to the last two games when the team hasn’t shown up all year? Take the damn blue tinted glasses off and grow a pair. Stay away until Mitch makes the right hire if he can.
Let’s pack the stadium for a guy that is walking away with ten million bucks for eleven wins over three seasons. Call me a bad fan, I don’t care. After Mitch’s comments, you won’t find me anywhere near Commonwealth to watch this ridiculous excuse for a football team.
