#1 you are an ass. Joker failed at UK. No question. But unlike other coaches we have had, both FB and Bball, he did not cheat, he did not abuse his players, he did not play drunk golf. We found out he wasn’t meant to be a head coach. But it wasn’t for lack of trying. He is a KY native, a former player, and gave a big part of his life trying to improve UK football. Do I wish he was still here? No, I am thankful he left, but please at least act like you’ve got some class and let it go. Why do we care if FL uses a goofy, creepy marketing ploy like this. Move the hell on.
What in the world would be the point of this even? Some 5 star high school player is like, “Wow, they really know how to use Photoshop and are super corny! That’s where I want to go!” Can you imagine Cal doing something like this? He’d never get another recruit, and rightly so.

#12 don’t disagree with your point, but FL. Had the #7 ranked recruiting class last year and so far in 2014, their class is ranked #3, so looks like they are getting who and what they want. Maybe despite the super corny tactics?

#15 You get the point. Whether or not he cheated with the fat blond sports anchor, he left the program in no trouble with the. NCAA. Things could have actually been a lot worse for Stoops, a la Guy Morris and Brooks left with nothing after The Claude Bassett/Mumme fiasco.

it’s bad enough using a fictional, crazy, murderer as a recruiting tool but could this be some kind of copyright infringement? That’s of course if he didn’t get permission to use it first.
Have to agree with 24, I’m concerned that The Joker is no longer playing with a full deck. Either that or he’s way overcompensating for what he feels are mistakes made while at UK.
A) That’s some of the worst photoshop I’ve ever seen.

The Joker can afford a bevy of social media assistants since he stole all of that money from the UK Athletic Dept., alumni, etc.
Florida’s whole staff will be gone soon enough… losing to UofL and having a boring offense can’t be sitting well in the swamp.
I love the fact that Joker is moving on and has a little confidence left after all that happened here. Good for him. He’s a good guy who deserves a second chance at a career.

So….uh…..what’s the goal of these posts? Get Joker double fired? I mean….I realize there was a reason to post the first one. But, at this point, it’s apparent that Joker is going to continue to post there “Joker” references…they’re going to continue to be weird/creepy..why do we need to keep seeing them?
Could the goal possibly be to make Joker look worse (catching fish in a barrel there)? Or….more likely….is it to make Matt’s new boyfriend (Mark Stoops) look more awesome? (SPOILER: It’s the second one.)

#39 saying he wrecked the program is like saying the Titanic bumped into a plastic bottle floating in the ocean after it hit an iceberg, and the bottle caused the ship to sink. You can’t rewreck a program that has been pretty much a wreck for 60 years, with maybe 5 good years in all that time.

Figures ignorant rednecks don’t know history. He was top 5 in receiving in school history when he graduated from UK. He spent over a decade on the sidelines recruiting and coaching some of the best players and teams in UK history as an asistant. In fact, we’ve been playing football for 100 plus years and of the 15 bowl games we’ve been to he was a part of 9 of them as a player, assistant, or head coach.
He was a terrible coach and it didn’t workout but that doesn’t erase his huge contributions to the program. What have you added to the program?
11 – I’ll say whatever I want. The Joke sucked at Kentucky and apparently still sucks at Florida. I’ve moved on just fine; it doesn’t change the fact that he was (and is) a turd of a football coach. Don’t sit there and try to justify his tenure at Kentucky by saying he was a “nice guy.” He was a miserable recruiter who refused to raise our program’s ceiling. Completely incompetent on EVERY level.
#43 yes rich brooks went 1-7, 1-7, 2-6, 4-4, 3-5, 2-6, and 3-5 in the SEC while at UK. fabulous success. In the SEC East, Brooks was ranked 5th, 5th, 6th, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 4th in his tenure. When you say considerably better, I have to laugh. I liked Brooks, and fully agree Joker needed to go. But geez dude, we have sucked forever. Can’t pin it all on 1 coach in a 2 year tenure. Brooks knew what was coming up when he left. He just had a good sense of timing to retire when he did.

Lol, and I don’t get the Joker sucks at Florida thing either. So he is on staff for a couple weeks before the Sugar Bowl and its his fault the entire team didn’t care about the game? He is the recruiting coordinator at UF and they currently are ranked #4 in the nation for the 2014 class and you call that failure? Funny
re: the copyright concerns – there might be a fair-use defense since these photoshops are obviously parody, which is protected…however they are also obviously being used for promotion, so that makes it a little sketchy. Would need a copyright lawyer to weigh-in, though I assume FL has consulted one before going in this direction with their marketing. They likely have a deal with DC or whomever.
UK said goodbye to ex-coach Phillips a few months back. I wish KSR had done the same, then the program can truly start with a clean slate. Please KSR let it go.

52 – Amen. All this talk about family and once-a-wildcat-always-a-wildcat sounds nice, but KSR looks for every opportunity to throw former Wildcat coaches under the bus. Be happy we have Stoops and Cal and get over Tubby and Joker. They both loved UK and all this bashing makes KSR and fans look petty. We’ve upgraded… time to move on!

56 – Unfortunately, I do expect a uk sports blog to stop bashing ex-Wildcats, TMZ-style. Nothing positive from this for BBN, just lots of expected Joker bashing, which does make our fanbase look petty. Joker was fired.
