Joker Encouraged by Freshmen Running Backs

Today after Kentucky Football’s first scrimmage Joker Phillips was asked about his two Freshmen Running Backs and was encouraged with what he saw.  When talking about Dy’Shawn Mobley and Justin Taylor, Joker grinned and said he really liked the fact that the two young men demonstrated the ability to “move the pile.”  Mobley, the 6′ 0”, 205 pound, three star from Powell, Tennessee, had offers from Mississippi State and Vanderbilt and chose to be a Wildcat.  Taylor may have just been the steal of the class, the 5′ 10”, 205 pound, three star from Atlanta also held offers from Arkansas, Georgia, and South Carolina.  Definitely encouraging to know that there’s young, SEC caliber athletes ready to compete.

Right, move the pile. That means gain 3.5 yards instead of 3 on third and twelve.

Powell isn’t a town. It’s just a community within Knox Co. Good for the kid, though.
