Join Matt Jones for a final Jorts Day celebration

In a game that truly showcases how one shot or one bounce of the ball can make such a great difference in the perception of a team, Kentucky escaped with a 68-66 victory over Vanderbilt and gave themselves a chance to continue their quest for a first round bye in the SEC Tournament.  After he stood tall on the final play and captured a victory in his final home game, Josh Harrellson celebrated at midcourt with his teammates, hit his “Carlton” and then found Drew Franklin and told him to put this picture on the site tonight.  As you already know, we do as Jorts wishes.

So, with the end of Jorts Day and a game’s worth of material to discuss, make sure you join Matt Jones for the UK Postgame Show on WHAS.  You can dial it up on 840 AM or stream it online here.  It’s your party tonight.  Let the world hear your voice by calling (502) 571-8484.

Over ran by UK fans unable to breath a sigh of relief. Things are settling down now. I hate close games because we have lost these all season long… until now! Let’s roll through March.

I am really glad that Josh chose to come to play basketball at Kentucky. I have been watching the Cats play since the Cotton Nash, Adolph Rupp days and I have to say he goes down in my books as one of my most favorite players. Why, out of all the greats ones? It just seemed he a good attitude and smile on his face while sitting on the sidelines. Always cheering for his teammates. Haveing to play behind three NBA front line players and enduring the ugly Billy G days. He is one of the many true bench players all Cat fans hope, that will someday come off the bench and be a hero. That Josh surely did. It is a shame that he has to graduate but he can be proud and know that the Big Blue Nation is Very Proud of him too! Thanks Josh!! Best of Wishes!!
