Kentucky has a lot of things working as an advantage in the recruiting world these days and one of the most prominent is former point guard John Wall. The top pick of the 2010 NBA Draft has his own signature shoe and has remained connected with the school and remains as accessible to young kids as any player in the NBA. Now that willingness to be an ambassador seems to have the potential to pay dividends again as Wall will coach one of the Boost Mobile Elite 24 squads, along with Tyreke Evans, Kemba Walker and Bishop Gorman head coach Grant Fisher. Wall’s team will include UK targets DaJuan Coleman, Anthony Bennett, Robert Carter, Aaron and Andrew Harrison, Nerlens Noel and Julius Randle.
The opposing team will include Brandon Ashley, Perry Ellis, Mitch McGary and Shabazz Muhammad. The game will be played August 27 and will air on ESPNU.
Wall has become a bit of a fixture at the event over the past few years since first appearing in the 2008 game.
