John Calipari Basketball Fantasy Camp is Back!

Yes that is me “jumping” with Walter McCarty

I am not one to tell you what to do. But if you have the means and desire, then I would highly recommend the 2013 John Calipari Fantasy Experience to you as the perfect chance to live the UK basketball dream. The Calipari Fantasy Camp allows you to live the life of a UK basketball player for three of the most awesome days that you will ever have. Last year I was fortunate enough to be part of the camp and I hope to do so this year as well, as it is immensely fun and if you grew up a UK fan as I did, also the chance to live a dream. The camp includes:

— Living a weekend in the life of a UK basketball player

— You and a guest attend dinner at Coach John Calipari’s home

— Receive exclusive swag bag of NIKE branded UK apparel and gear

— Opportunity to compete in historic Lexington Center’s Rupp Arena

— Be introduced with the fanfare and excitement of a UK player

— Expert coaching from UK basketball staff, UK legends and national, elite level guest coaches

— Real life team activities: games, team meetings, film review, practices and walk-thrus

— Lectures by Coach Cal and special guests

— Access to world-class UK sports medicine/rehab facilities

— All Access to “Team Only” areas of UK basketball facilities (locker rooms, team lounges, meeting/film rooms, basketball offices)

— All ground transportation, meals, & hotel accommodations

Two legends and Tucker Max

You essentially live the life of a UK player, while getting to play on a team with fellow UK fans and compete for a Championship. In addition, you have all your escapades covered by the KSR embedded journalists with your team, who write stories, give press conferences and break down the games when they over. You also get a highlight tape of all your escapades (or lack thereof) and experience what it would be like to play for the Big Blue. It was three of the most fun days of my life last year and if you get a chance, I would highly recommend the second annual version this year. Last year’s camp saw visits from Dick Vitale, Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins, the 1996 team and many more, and I expect a similar guest list this year. So join the party and I hope to go against you on the court (spoiler alert…I am not that great. You can get more information at the link below:

Here is a video from last year’s camp. See you there:
