Jimbo Fisher: DJ Eliot will be UK’s DC

First Bud Dupree, now Jimbo Fisher.

Florida State’s head coach just spilled the beans that DJ Eliot, FSU’s defensive ends coach, will become Kentucky’s new defensive coordinator under Mark Stoops. Fisher said that both Eliot and Stoops would return to Tallahassee between now and FSU’s bowl game to help the ‘Noles prepare and that Eliot will coach the team in it.

Expect an announcement from UK tomorrow.

Be sure to go back and read my profile of Eliot from Monday night.

Act like the big boys. Acknowledge your error and just note the correction rather than deleting all comments and acting like you didn’t mess up the first time this posted. It’s just a little boo-boo. No big deal.

Hey, I own up to my mistakes. The other post was irrelevant now that Jimbo Fisher announced DJ Eliot was joining the staff.

Way to hang in there Tyler.
Kick them right back when they take a cheap shot.
Glad you stand up to nut cases on here.

i understand why Coach Stoops was allowed by both parties to coach FSU’s title game, but i’m not sure what the advantage is for UK or FSU to allow Eliot to coach in the bowl game. And what happens if Fisher takes another job?

D J as in Defensive Jenius. Ok, it’s not spelled exactly right but who cares, it’s sounds good!

UK is going to have a young staff and I think that’s actually a good thing as played will easily relate to these guys. I can’t wait for the staff to be in place and see what happens in recruiting. Exciting times in the Bluegrass!

Of course the jury is still out if Coach Stoops will be successfull at UK but the way he is selecting his staff is very impressive. I think UK football is going to be fun!!
