Jeremy Jarmon named Assistant Director of Player Development for UK football

One week after he re-energized the football fanbase on KSR, Jeremy Jarmon has been named the Assistant Director of Player Development for Kentucky football. He replaces Tommy Cook, who took a job at Kent State as the Director of Football Operations last week. Slam dunk hire for Joker and the crew. Congrats, Jeremy.

I realize this isnt technically a coaching position but, when he was on the radio show he said it out front he wasn’t going to go into coaching. If you are lying about that what else was he lying about the program? My energy I’m just going down about uk football

Why would we want a player who cost the program dearly with his PED use and someone who was too lazy to recover from an injury that happens to a lot of professional athletes? Get this actor out of our football program now before other players become like him.

i KNEW right after complimenting joker and saying he was doing a good job, he was just fishing for a job himself. no integrity at all.

Congrats to Jeremy! Great hire. But, we all knew last week while he was answering questions on radio that he was either up for or had already been hired for a UK athletics position. However, I disagree with #8 ‘kes’ who thinks he was “fishing for a job” for himself.

  10. Good for UK, i guess

You sound like a women. Shut up. “If you are looking at me like that, what others girls you looking at”.

His “PED” was in a over-the-counter medication. Are players not allowed to take Advil nowadays? He had no intentions of purposefully taking PED’s and you sit on here and act like he’s the spawn of satan. Unbelieveable.

He retired due to a risk of injury that could effect him for the rest of his life. Good try on the “real dreamer” joke. Once again, unbelieveable.

You people really need to get a grip. If this is truly the school and program you love, then you need to show it a little more clearly.

I had the privilege of having an upper-level history class (The Holocaust) with Jeremy, and found him to be intelligent and profound. Jeremy is not the stereotypical football player, and certainly is not a person without integrity.

The “PED” was over-the-counter, and Jeremy took it without knowing it was banned. He was crushed by the ruling and took responsibility for it, being respectful even when he had the right to scream and yell.

Making assumptions about his character, calling him an “actor”, questioning his honesty and integrity, saying he was just fishing for a job, and facetiously calling him a “real dreamer” are all insensitive, baseless, and slanderous accusations. The “real dreamer” remark is particularly incendiary considering Jeremy did dream of being a career player but had that ended by a severe inury that could have and may still affect him for the rest of his life. God forbid an athlete actually make a wise decision to protect their health and safety and provide young people with an example of making the right choice.

We could all live with doing this toward a U of L player – but doing it to one of our own who is coming back to his college program is despicable. Posers, go away, and so-called UK fans, get s*** straight.

What exactly does an “Assistant Director of Player Development” do?

    Thank you.
Everyone who disagrees needs to reevaluate their life and establishment as a UK fan.
    Go Cats.
