Per reports, obviously. Cats showed some interest, but Pastner Closes the deal on another solid recruit.
Note From Dustin: Sorry guys, I wasn’t around the internet when this all went down. Honestly, I don’t know a person (coach, player, anyone) that wasn’t totally surprised by Jelan deciding on making his choice during the fall period. Everyone felt he would be a spring kid. The fact that he liked Memphis though was no surprise. He had been traveling up to Memphis in the late summer/early fall to workout with Joe Jackson and seemed to be building a good relationship with what would become his eventual team. I’ll have a little more on Monday about what this means for Kentucky but for now I’ll just say that it doesn’t really have too much of an impact if they are able to land their top targets. I’ll leave it at that for now and we’ll explore that idea a little bit more come Monday.
