Jay-Z is now a sports agent.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s entertainment agency, has partnered with Creative Artists Agency to form Roc Nation Sports. The company’s first client? The New York Yankees’ Robinson Cano.
Jay-Z is reportedly planning to become a certified agent himself, first in baseball and eventually basketball and football. The only drawback? In order to represent clients in basketball, he’ll have to give up his share of the Brooklyn Nets.
Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) called the move a “natural progression”:
“Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help top athletes in various sports the same way we have been helping artists in the music industry for years.”
How long before UK’s stars start signing with HOVA?

Really? Jay-Z? KSR has really dropped the ball today. I’ve had people telling me all day that multiple other news sources are reporting that Poythress has decided to enter the draft and that Calipari has offered Hawkins a scholarship. I keep checking KSR for confirmation, but nothing.
