It’s official: Justin Taylor will transfer
After rumors swirled around this morning, the news that redshirt freshman running back Justin Taylor will transfer have been confirmed. While UK wouldn’t confirm whether or not he would transfer to South Carolina State, as TigerIllustrated.com’s Ryan Bartow said this morning, they did say that Taylor asked for and was granted a release.
The news shouldn’t come as a shock, since Taylor had a rough spring in which he wound up at the end of the depth chart, and that’s before 4-star running back JoJo Kemp comes to campus this summer. Mark Stoops issued the following statement about Taylor’s transfer: “We appreciate Justin’s efforts and wish him the best as he continues his career.”

He is one of Joker’s recruits so he’s probably not going to play over #20, #4, and the future backs for UK, aka Kemp

The coaching beliefs between Stoops and joker probably did this kid in more so than depth. Personally I think the hard work he was going have to put in for playing time overwhelmed him. Stoops isn’t the type to let you coast your way into playing time.
